You Hold the Key

Happy Sunday everyone. I hope you are having a nice "relaxing" day and doing lots of crafts. ( well at least one card or projects :0).. We had our Sunday breakfast together and then everyone went about doing their own things, so I am doing a quick post to show a card that I just made.
I really like trying new things and making projects. Cutting and folding with my "scor- pal" or M.S scor board. This "Heart Pocket card" is from a " Free" Class on CDAC ( You must give it a try)It was soo easy and Fun to make I just love it!!!!
I needed a heart for the first challenge of the New Year over at Scraps of Color where the theme is use a heart and the colors Red, Black & White. and this just fit so perfect. I love the fact that it has a pocket. I could not think of any thing to put inside of it. Plus I wanted to show off the paper I just love it ( Martha Stewart)
The Card stock is "textured" I think it's Bazzill but I am not sure, it was half of what was left ( i received it in a package) red card stock ran thru my "cuttlebug" Black glitter paper ( $1 bend at "Target", Red doily paper is from Martha Stewart pack ( it was a christmas pack I got on clearance from Michael's) flowers made whit my small EKsuccess punch key charm: making memories,  Ribbon (Michael's) sentiment (handwriting by me).

Enjoying a little Snow

Good Morning, My family is still in bed.. and I am enjoying a little "me" time with a  nice cup of coffee this morning. Had to pull my camera out to take a few shot of what our "outside' looks like right now. We live in the high dessert of So. California and it has been known to snow, But not too often and not as much as this :0). I have lived her for 5 years now and it was about 2 years ago when we got our last real down cast of snow. ( they said that was the most in about 10 yrs) well yesterday was another good  fall of snow at least 3 inches if not moore.  My younger two where suppose to be back at school "today", but at about 10:30 last night we got the recording call saying that they where closing all schools because of the snow.. (so at least they get one more day off and a little time to play with the "white stuff" (that is if they ever wake up. hehehhe

so here is a few more shots and then I am off to make them some breakfast (smell of bacon should be enough to do the trick.. My goal today is to get them out and hope that I can lock my self away in my craft room to get a few projects done????
