Trudy's Dress

Hi everyone Wow It's Wednesday already. The summer days are just shooting by are they not??.. I have a treat to share with you all tonight. The other day over on Mo's Digital Pencil's -Face book page. Mo was offering this cute little girl. It was a paper doll image with dress as a "freebie". and along with the freebie there was a contest to show what we can create with her.
I really wanted to make sure I played along I don't know why I was thinking that we had until this Sat to enter the contest. Silly ME :0))) So when I saw that today was the day. Well I just had to put everything else aside and make something with her.
She is perfect because my "Nice" is having a Birthday party this weekend so I knew she would be perfect for a card for her. I went with a "Pocket card and made Trudy into a "little" book mark for her to use.. Plus I figure I could put something else inside as well
I colored Trudy with my Prisma and OMS. Her dress as you can see I paper pieced with some of my Gorgeous DP. "Beautiful Blooms from PTI. and of course I had to add a little sparkle to her.. So stickles on her shoes and bows in her hair.
And this last photo is to show you what it looks like with her being inside of the pocket card.  Hope you like. Now I have to jump over to Mo's FB page to add my entry.. Hope I'm not too late.

Team USA

Did one more card in celebration of the 4th of July. This week at Sassy Studio Designs the challenge theme is "Easel Cards. ( I Love making easel cards. just something different that the standard A2 cards that I usually make. So I decided to stick with the RED, White and Blue theme. Don't have lots of color or DP for this soo it was great when I saw the Stars and strip paper as a freebie from "Create With TLC. I usually don't use  digi paper But this one was great and just what I needed for my card. Along with my digi paper I also saw that Paulette was offering that Gorgeous Sentiment already colored and decorated. It really goes good with my image because she is a "cowgirl" and the image had that cute "lasso and star" So I grabbed that one too. If you guys have not had a chance to visit Create with TLC you really should check out some of Paulette's Awesome digi and sentiment (and most of them are "freebies") just remember to leave her some "love" if you do down load any of her creations.
I colored up "Cheeky Shooter" from The Greeting Farm. This is my very first time using her and I just love her in her little cow girl outfit. You know she is a Ride em-shoot em up kinda of girl.. and Yes she is Team USA all the way.. :0))) Card stock is from PTI. Prima Flowers, "gingham Ribbon is from Wal Mart- and my EK Success for the boarder. and some Pearls for embellishments.

A Little Ice Cream Layout

Hi everyone. getting a little "late night crafting so I will be quick with this post. I had my image already colored up and knew the DP that I wanted to use, but did not want to make a "regular" card, and so after some thoughts and going thru some "sketch challenges" I come up with taken a sketch and turning it into a "Layout".. Yes can you believe it. I  finally made a layout.  I like the 8x8 layout so that is what my page is. Was soo happy when I deiced that what I wanted to do. and I think it came out pretty cute :0)
sfyttjul2011
I used this Month's sketch by I "heart" sketch
As I said I had my image which is one of the "new digi's from All That Scraps already colored up. I also drew inspiration from with this week's ATS Chellegne Blog. "Punches" or "die cuts". I used my Martha Stewart Punch and just went around my "Pink card stock".  Yellow card stock and Ribbon is from PTI. My DP is from America Crafts "backyard collection". I got the 6x6 pack from Claudia and Co. and just did not want to really cut it up any more than that soo that's why I also decided that it would be best for an 8 x8 layout.
Here is a close up of "Ice cream Birgitta. She loves having an ice cream cone on a "hot day" as the one we had today ( I believe it's Neopolitan :0). I colored her with my Prisma  and OMS. added stickles to her "polka dots" and some Butter Cup Pearl to her "hair barrettes".
here is a  close up of my Ek Success dimensional stickers. which includes the little "sand castle and bucket and pail The other pictures show the sun, beach umbrella and ball. (also from the same sticker pack).. I love EK SUCCESS.!!!!

Red, White and Blue

Back with my Second card for today. As we can tell and see that most of the challenges are according to the up coming 4th of July Holiday or may be we just all like the colors of  Red,White and Blue. So I knew that I had to make a card to show my spirit for those colors. And what better way that with this little cutie here. Yes it's "another" image from The Greeting Farm- Cheeky collection.
This is Cheeky Mate. I really like her in her little "sailor uniform" looking soo "sassy and cute does she not":0)

With my Prisma and OMS. I really wanted to stay true to the colors. so that's what I did.and yes ad to slide a little stickle in there. so I added to her "bow" and on the trip of her "cap". (which you can't really tell too good from the picture here.
Deconstructed Sketch 8
I used the sketch from this week's "deconstructing Jen" #8

Whats cool about this was I really did not have a lot of or really any DP that had all I was looking for with my color scheme. So the "only DP paper I used was from my Scrap pile (it's some Martha Stewart paper from a 12 x 12 paper pad that I have. Actually beside the card stock for my card which is from PTI really everything was from my scraps. So it was great to use some of them up. Punch is from EK Success, sentiment is also PTI, Twine is also Martha Stewart. and more bling with my I-Rock ( I had it out already so might as well I used it up right ;0)

Loving her little shorts and pigtails, and of course her cowboy boots. :0) I colored her up for this week's Mystery Monday at the "Farm Fresh Challenge Blog.

She is colored with my Prisma and OMS. and I thought she looks like she loves "sparkles and bling" as much as I do. So I added lots to her boots, belt, and Barrett's ( love the cheery in her hair too).
My DP is more of my Cosmo Cricket."Early Bird".. I just can say enough how much I love this paper pack. It is just the most gorgeous 12 x 12 paper kit that I have seen in a long time.. and to think I got it "all for $4.00 at Michael's. Happy Happy With Rockabilly

Hi everyone I wanted to post this "yesterday" But Blogger was not acting nice to me at all.. :0). Goes with out mention what my "favorite" stamp line is.. YES it's The Greeting Farm. and by far my favorite collection from them is the "Cheeky Collection". These little pin-up inspired cuties are just "the business". As with many of my GF stamps. I just could not bring my self to color them up right away. (please I say again that my nerves do get the best of me sometimes). This is true with "Cheeky Rockabilly" here. I got here quite a while back but never colored her. So this is the first time that she is making an "appearance" on my Blog today. Don't you just love her. She reminds me of those Turner Classic Movies that my mother and I love to watch.
I colored her about 2 weeks ago and at that time I was just kinda of practicing coloring her hair. I wanted to see how good I could get with having her go "black". When I colored her with my Prisma Pencils I only used my pencils and NO OMS. (again because it was just practice ;0) But when I was finished I kinda liked how she turned out.. So I left her hair as is, and then went in with my "Warm Gray 50 % and just added a few shadow to her outfit. Just to really give her an "old Black and White feeling". and so when I was finished I just left her like that. I thought I would just put her with my other "sketches' that I have to remind me of the colors and technique that I used for my  images.
Then I saw that on the "Farm Fresh Blog" WOW( Which One Wednesday) was a color challenge with "Black & White with a splash of color". Soo of course I pulled her out and came up with my card for today.
( I really wanted to use the sketch from this week's Mojo Monday I went with the "square" card.)

What goes better with black and white... RED!! I have this DP from the 'june bug" collection from Basic Grey. and knew right away that it would be perfect for my card, and with the added little color splash it really makes my red just POP. Ribbon was from my stash. I added some bling swirls from Michael's, my prima flower and sentiment is from a "studio g" stamp set that I have.

The Crazy Challenge- Beautiful Women
Stamps R  Us- There was a Girl

Time to Relax and enjoy the good life

Hi everyone.. I am back with a New image today.. I bought her a couple weeks ago, she was already colored up and just kinda sitting and relaxing while I made up my mind on just which kind of card I wanted to show case her on.

Say Hello to Lil Pinkette August. She is one of the Newest images that was released from Tickled Pink. Like I said I honestly colored her up the same weekend I got her, But never make a card for her. I colored her with my Prisma and OMS. and Yes used lots of stickles to outline her shirt, lace on her pants and of course she had to have the "blinged out  Head phone while she is listing to some of her favorite music on her play list.
I found the Perfect card sketch thanks to this week's  "deconstruction Jen"

I loved everything about this sketch and soo I knew it was prefect for August My Card stock is From PTI., Sentiment if from Create with TLC ( I always say Paulette is your "go to girl" if ever your in need of a great sentiment :0)  DP is my 6 x 6 sample pack from S.E.I. "moonrise" that I got from Claudia & Co. sometime last  year. I just did not use much of it.. So it's always great to use up those paper that you just kinda of just have sitting around.. ( I had just colored August up with out much thought to matching paper or any thing else like that . So I was glad when I cam across "moonrise" and saw how close to perfect it was. hehehe. I used my Corner. Punch, my Circle and scallop Nesti for sentiment. Paper flowers I made with my "EK success small flower punch. Ribbon was from my "gift stash" and of course lots of pop dots to make everything pop.

This Card is Also for the following Challenges:
DDH- Flowers
House of Gilli- Ribbons and Bows
Stamps R Us- There was a Girl
Dream Valley- Ribbons
