Card stock is from PTI. DP is from MME "          added a cute lace trim and some flowers also from Recollections.. I just love Micheal's as if you can't tell.

Summer Coming to an End

Let me start of my post tonight by sending a Big welcome to all my new followers. WOW I have gane at least 4 in the last couple of days. "THANK YOU so much for coming to visit and for following. I hope I inspire you with my crafty creations. We are half way thru our work week, for me I have a split week, so today is my first Friday, as I am off for the next two days and then I start my week again on Saturday..
I wanted to to show you a few more things that I have been working on over the last few day. First let me say I don't pick and choose my images.  I just goo for what I know and what I like. I have been playing a lot with my Marci and Luka's from La La Land Crafts, They have a Great FB group for fans of these sweet little images. Irina owner of La La Land has started FB group challenges and they have been really fun to play along with.

The latest  FB challenge (actually the 2nd challenge) is "End of Summer" Challenges. I printed out a sheet of 3 cute images that I thought were Great for use of Summer theme. 1. Mermaid Marci. 2&3 Marci with Watercan. Love this image and wanted to color her with several colors for her hair and dress.4&5 is my Sweet little "ukulele Luka. ( I printed him to go with my two Hula Marci that I did a few weeks ago.

Here is my card that I I made for the challenge. I choose the beautiful and colorful "Mermaid Marci". She is just gorgeous. Love her. I actually purchased her last summer, and never colored her up.. I am sure you are just like me and purchase more images than you have had the time to color and stamp. Marci comes in both Rubber and digi and you can find her in the La La Land Craft shop. Mine is a digi, as are the rest of my images.

I colored her with my Prisma and OMS. added lots of glitter glue to her fin and star. Kraft Card Stock from PTI. DP "Echo Park  "Splash " Embellishments are from Jolee's Boutique. Sentiment is from another stamp set. And added some Purple Pearls. and my white gell pen for some faux stitching.

Ready to Learn

Hello everyone, I am up late tonight, filling out paper work for school. "yeah lots of fun :0(.. Tonight was "Back to School" Night, I try my best to make all the back to school and parent conference, and if I am unable to attend then "daddy" steps in for me. So was the case tonight, As I had to work and the BTS was pretty late from 5:30 pm to 7:00pm.
Because I knew that I was not going to be able to make it, and I usually start the year with a Card for my little one's teacher. I made sure I had one to give to my DD for her to give to her "teacher" tonight.

Is it not the cutest. I Won a Great Gift Certificate from "Taylored Expression" for their August Release" Fabulous stamps and die cuts. When I saw this Clip Board I knew that I had to have it. LOVE LOVE. I had the best time shopping with my "gift certificate" and picked up some great stuff. Well I got my "happy mail" yesterday, and I got right to trying out my new die cuts".
I also picked up a Fun and bright new 6x6 paper pack from MME. "School Daze".. for the Die cut you get the note book paper and the clip for the board. I used my cuttle bug to cut out the paper. For the clip I had some great "silver shinny card stock form "American Crafts" ( I think.it's lost on my desk so I can be sure, but I think I am :0))).... I added some "pop dots" to make the clip stand out. for the base I just used some "kraft card stock" and round the corners with my "corner chopper". A+ and apple are from my "studio g" mini stamp set. just added a button and some twine. Sentiment is from my "mini letters" from Cosmo Cricket.
Here is the inside of the card.
Ok I am not finished filling out paper work,so let me get back to it.

Pack light

Hello everyone, how is your Saturday, I have really been MIA from posting on my blog, But don't have any excuses as to why, more than to say that I have been busy with school starting and getting everyone back into a some what "normal" routine.
wanted to just share my latest card with you for my Monthly posting over at SOC
I had this image from Saturated Canary "pack light' colored up a few weeks ago. I have soo many images colored but just have not taken the time to move them from page to card.
With School starting or have started I know some of us have students going off to college, so I thought this little lady would be perfect for a going a way card. OR maybe just some one going on a "road trip".
Here is a closeup of her, you can find all the details of how I put her together over at he SOC blog

Seeing Spots and Dots

Hello friends. Wow what a wild and wonderful week. School started on Tuesday, so I don't need to tell just how crazy my days have been. So much soo that I posted this card and images from Wednesday for a Facebook challenge with La La Land Crafts and I totally forgot to post it to my own blog.
This is "Capri Marci" she is a cute digi and Rubber stamp from La La Land Crafts. She was one of my first purchases from them. Love her hair and her cute little "tennis shoes". I printed her twice and decided to color her with both Black and Brown hair. The challenge was the "Spots and Dots technique" I have seen it several times and loved it, even though I had yet to try because it is really best done with markers, and since I don't have any I really never tried.  But once I remembered that I had a few "Bic and sharpie colored marker I decided to give it a try with my Prisma colored pencils.
Here is my card I made. I went with Marci in pink and black hair,(just because she was the one I finished first. After I colored her how I wanted I took4 different color "Bic marker" and just added little dots and spots starting with my darkest color and just kept adding the other colors until I was happy. I really liked how she turned out, and was happy to know that I could combine both my Pencils and a few markers.
My DP is and embellishments are all Echo Park "hello Summer". I just added a ribbon and it was done. Very easy card to pull together.
I hope you like her

Sexy at ALL ages

Hello everyone. Hope you are all having a great week so far.. I am having a wonderful 2 days start to my week. I just have a quick post to share with you all. I had a request from one of the resident's at my job to make a Special Birthday card for her Niece, who is turning 60 yrs old.
I took some information from her, like "favorite colors, hair color, and other likes and dislikes. I knew just the image I wanted to use..
The Super Sweet and  Sassy "Blanche" from Krista Smith from Saturated Canary
I think she is soo "HOT".. does she remind you of the "Golden Girls"..  I started out my card with Card stock from  PTI.. and DP and embellishments from Webster Pages.. I really lucked out on the great "Warehouse" sale that they had a few weeks ago. I really want to make more "Shabby, Vintage, and Chic" cards, as I really never got the concepts too good.. but I got great feed back from my fellow crafters. So I just have to keep practicing on each them.. I would say this falls into the "Chick" with a hint of shabby, just because of the Gorgeous DP. from Webster's page. Flowers are from Recollection's from Michael's

I colored Blanch with my Prisma and OMS.. I was told she has Brown hear, so I really went for it and added some great High lights, I am really having fun learning to add those as well too.. She could Not escape the glitter as I colored her "earrings' with my prisma pencils and then went over it with my "skaura gel pen to add some "bling" to it.

I was able to finish it up this morning and I gave it to my "resident' this afternoon. She "LOVED" IT, I told her that if she was "not" happy with it I would redo it for her.. She said the only thing that I could give her is a "kiss"..(which I gladly did) and if I tried to take it back she would give me a "spanking" LOL.. I love my residents.

Lets do a Little Hula Dance with Marci.

Happy Friday.. And for me it truly is, as I have had a very "long" week. I had to fill in for some one at work, so I have been working some long days ever since Tuesday, I am No way complaining, but after being soo used to having your morning and a set routine to your self, it does kind of take you off balance, and I really felt it as I woke up this morning.
So as I have finished my "self pitty" I have 2 cards to share with you all today, Now I can honestly say that I don't plan on doing 2 cards or projects with every image I color, But I always do tend to print or stamp my images twice sometimes more, just in case I mess up and have to start over, or just trying out
different shades of skin and hair color.
I colored up a New Marci image from "La La Land Crafts".. I have said it time and time again that I LOVE Marci and Luka and this image is just as Beautiful as the others that I have..(Now Marci and Luka come in Both Rubber and Digi.. I love that because the "digi's are just the right price for my "Budget").
Hula Marci
I printed her very large,, Almost 5 inches, just because I wanted to really get a good color scheme with her, but really because she is just soo darn cute, I wanted to see her in a larger setting. This is what I did on the first night I printed her out (Wednesday night). and so I posted to the La La Land Face book, my "Work N Progress". I went with a Dark skin as well as a Lighter skin Marci.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>
My first card is of Marci with the Lighter skin and her Gorgeous "Wine colored hair" it has a lot of red and burgundy and a little dark purple in it. I made an Easel card. I started with my card stock from Bazzill, my DP is from my New Basic Gray "hello luscious"  really do LOVE B.G. I saw this technique with tearing paper and I LOVE it. Once I tore my paper, I added some "distress" ink to give it the look of sand. as though she is standing on the Shores. to finish off just added some of my favorite embellishments from Joleee's Boutique.
Here is a close up of Marci. Just love how her hair turned out.. I really liked this one just a little bit more of the two images. She was the second one I colored, so I was able to pick my colors that I wanted to much better, I love how her grass skirt turned out to.. She is colored with Prisma and OMS.. and I added lots of glitter to her flower lei.
with my second card I made a  very Fun and Simple card. I used the same Supplies and embellishments for both cards, just tried to use them "different Because I printed Marci so large, I decided to make a 6x6 card, which I usually don't. My DP is from "Echo Park Splash" I cut my DP in half and used both side ( love it :0)

Here is a close up of Marci.. really love her hair too.. But was Not too happy with her skirt, was not to sure about which colors I was going to use, so I had to kind of guess, that's why I said that I liked the first card, "just a little bit more' I must say that I love her colors and how it ALL came together.
and what would be the finish to my card if I did not show you the inside.
