Summer and some Bling

Happy Friday my "crafty" friends. Hope you are all enjoying this beautiful day. It's is Hot here where I am, but not as Hot as it has been in the last couple of days. Love summer time because of all the Bright and Bold and Beautiful colors that's all around us :0)) That goes the same with my cards. I have always been a fan of bright and loud colors. and when you throw in some bling.. Well!! that makes it all the more "brighter" :0))

And that brings me to my card today. This week's challenge over at SOG (Some Odd Girl) the theme is "Bright and Blinging". I mean can they be speaking to my 'hart" or WHAT!! . that is my crafting motto" has to be bright and again never have enough "bling" as far as I am concern.
For my Image I choose one of the new summer image. Say hello to "Beach Babe Kaylee" she is the "sassy's thing walking around the pool today, in her cute little two piece bikini. and "shades". you can check out more of Kristy's fabulous collection here.

I colored her with my prisma and OMS. look at her sunglasses.. they had to have "sparkles all round" (stickles). even her toes had polish and sparkles on them. DP is "We R Memories "White Out" collection....... ( last year from Michael's). Sentiment is from a "Word set that I got from "The Cutting Cafe". Love all of Regina's work. Now the best part of my card  making lately for me is being able to include lots of my dimensional stickers. ( I have had some of them for over a year now and just did not know really what to do with them) I love being able to incorporate them with the theme of my layout. So the Pool, her drink and lets not forget her SPF suntan lotion are "all" from  Jolee's boutique "Pool Party set.

Challenges:
The Stamping Boutique- Summer Theme
Digital Tuesday- Bling it UP
The Outlawz- Greetings/ Sentiments

Trudy's Dress

Hi everyone Wow It's Wednesday already. The summer days are just shooting by are they not??.. I have a treat to share with you all tonight. The other day over on Mo's Digital Pencil's -Face book page. Mo was offering this cute little girl. It was a paper doll image with dress as a "freebie". and along with the freebie there was a contest to show what we can create with her.
I really wanted to make sure I played along I don't know why I was thinking that we had until this Sat to enter the contest. Silly ME :0))) So when I saw that today was the day. Well I just had to put everything else aside and make something with her.
She is perfect because my "Nice" is having a Birthday party this weekend so I knew she would be perfect for a card for her. I went with a "Pocket card and made Trudy into a "little" book mark for her to use.. Plus I figure I could put something else inside as well
I colored Trudy with my Prisma and OMS. Her dress as you can see I paper pieced with some of my Gorgeous DP. "Beautiful Blooms from PTI. and of course I had to add a little sparkle to her.. So stickles on her shoes and bows in her hair.
And this last photo is to show you what it looks like with her being inside of the pocket card.  Hope you like. Now I have to jump over to Mo's FB page to add my entry.. Hope I'm not too late.

Team USA

Did one more card in celebration of the 4th of July. This week at Sassy Studio Designs the challenge theme is "Easel Cards. ( I Love making easel cards. just something different that the standard A2 cards that I usually make. So I decided to stick with the RED, White and Blue theme. Don't have lots of color or DP for this soo it was great when I saw the Stars and strip paper as a freebie from "Create With TLC. I usually don't use  digi paper But this one was great and just what I needed for my card. Along with my digi paper I also saw that Paulette was offering that Gorgeous Sentiment already colored and decorated. It really goes good with my image because she is a "cowgirl" and the image had that cute "lasso and star" So I grabbed that one too. If you guys have not had a chance to visit Create with TLC you really should check out some of Paulette's Awesome digi and sentiment (and most of them are "freebies") just remember to leave her some "love" if you do down load any of her creations.
I colored up "Cheeky Shooter" from The Greeting Farm. This is my very first time using her and I just love her in her little cow girl outfit. You know she is a Ride em-shoot em up kinda of girl.. and Yes she is Team USA all the way.. :0))) Card stock is from PTI. Prima Flowers, "gingham Ribbon is from Wal Mart- and my EK Success for the boarder. and some Pearls for embellishments.

A Little Ice Cream Layout

Hi everyone. getting a little "late night crafting so I will be quick with this post. I had my image already colored up and knew the DP that I wanted to use, but did not want to make a "regular" card, and so after some thoughts and going thru some "sketch challenges" I come up with taken a sketch and turning it into a "Layout".. Yes can you believe it. I  finally made a layout.  I like the 8x8 layout so that is what my page is. Was soo happy when I deiced that what I wanted to do. and I think it came out pretty cute :0)
sfyttjul2011
I used this Month's sketch by I "heart" sketch
As I said I had my image which is one of the "new digi's from All That Scraps already colored up. I also drew inspiration from with this week's ATS Chellegne Blog. "Punches" or "die cuts". I used my Martha Stewart Punch and just went around my "Pink card stock".  Yellow card stock and Ribbon is from PTI. My DP is from America Crafts "backyard collection". I got the 6x6 pack from Claudia and Co. and just did not want to really cut it up any more than that soo that's why I also decided that it would be best for an 8 x8 layout.
Here is a close up of "Ice cream Birgitta. She loves having an ice cream cone on a "hot day" as the one we had today ( I believe it's Neopolitan :0). I colored her with my Prisma  and OMS. added stickles to her "polka dots" and some Butter Cup Pearl to her "hair barrettes".
here is a  close up of my Ek Success dimensional stickers. which includes the little "sand castle and bucket and pail The other pictures show the sun, beach umbrella and ball. (also from the same sticker pack).. I love EK SUCCESS.!!!!

Red, White and Blue

Back with my Second card for today. As we can tell and see that most of the challenges are according to the up coming 4th of July Holiday or may be we just all like the colors of  Red,White and Blue. So I knew that I had to make a card to show my spirit for those colors. And what better way that with this little cutie here. Yes it's "another" image from The Greeting Farm- Cheeky collection.
This is Cheeky Mate. I really like her in her little "sailor uniform" looking soo "sassy and cute does she not":0)

With my Prisma and OMS. I really wanted to stay true to the colors. so that's what I did.and yes ad to slide a little stickle in there. so I added to her "bow" and on the trip of her "cap". (which you can't really tell too good from the picture here.
Deconstructed Sketch 8
I used the sketch from this week's "deconstructing Jen" #8

Whats cool about this was I really did not have a lot of or really any DP that had all I was looking for with my color scheme. So the "only DP paper I used was from my Scrap pile (it's some Martha Stewart paper from a 12 x 12 paper pad that I have. Actually beside the card stock for my card which is from PTI really everything was from my scraps. So it was great to use some of them up. Punch is from EK Success, sentiment is also PTI, Twine is also Martha Stewart. and more bling with my I-Rock ( I had it out already so might as well I used it up right ;0)
