Lets do a Little Hula Dance with Marci.

Happy Friday.. And for me it truly is, as I have had a very "long" week. I had to fill in for some one at work, so I have been working some long days ever since Tuesday, I am No way complaining, but after being soo used to having your morning and a set routine to your self, it does kind of take you off balance, and I really felt it as I woke up this morning.
So as I have finished my "self pitty" I have 2 cards to share with you all today, Now I can honestly say that I don't plan on doing 2 cards or projects with every image I color, But I always do tend to print or stamp my images twice sometimes more, just in case I mess up and have to start over, or just trying out
different shades of skin and hair color.
I colored up a New Marci image from "La La Land Crafts".. I have said it time and time again that I LOVE Marci and Luka and this image is just as Beautiful as the others that I have..(Now Marci and Luka come in Both Rubber and Digi.. I love that because the "digi's are just the right price for my "Budget").
Hula Marci
I printed her very large,, Almost 5 inches, just because I wanted to really get a good color scheme with her, but really because she is just soo darn cute, I wanted to see her in a larger setting. This is what I did on the first night I printed her out (Wednesday night). and so I posted to the La La Land Face book, my "Work N Progress". I went with a Dark skin as well as a Lighter skin Marci.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>
My first card is of Marci with the Lighter skin and her Gorgeous "Wine colored hair" it has a lot of red and burgundy and a little dark purple in it. I made an Easel card. I started with my card stock from Bazzill, my DP is from my New Basic Gray "hello luscious"  really do LOVE B.G. I saw this technique with tearing paper and I LOVE it. Once I tore my paper, I added some "distress" ink to give it the look of sand. as though she is standing on the Shores. to finish off just added some of my favorite embellishments from Joleee's Boutique.
Here is a close up of Marci. Just love how her hair turned out.. I really liked this one just a little bit more of the two images. She was the second one I colored, so I was able to pick my colors that I wanted to much better, I love how her grass skirt turned out to.. She is colored with Prisma and OMS.. and I added lots of glitter to her flower lei.
with my second card I made a  very Fun and Simple card. I used the same Supplies and embellishments for both cards, just tried to use them "different Because I printed Marci so large, I decided to make a 6x6 card, which I usually don't. My DP is from "Echo Park Splash" I cut my DP in half and used both side ( love it :0)

Here is a close up of Marci.. really love her hair too.. But was Not too happy with her skirt, was not to sure about which colors I was going to use, so I had to kind of guess, that's why I said that I liked the first card, "just a little bit more' I must say that I love her colors and how it ALL came together.
and what would be the finish to my card if I did not show you the inside.

Happy Scrapping,
