World Card Making Day with a Steam Punk

Hi everyone.. If you are like me then you are enjoying a great and gorgeous Sunday.. This was my weekend off.. and I can say that I have truly enjoyed being off.. We are still unwinding from our move, and getting used to our new life in a new environment..
I would have had my post up much early, but we where out most of the day shopping for a new stove!!... I finished my cards yesterday, but by the time I was done, my light source was gone, I have No good lighting at time time for now, so I had to wait until this morning to take the  pictures, I even had time to edited them, but after that it was time to go. So here is what I worked on Yesterday for WCMD..
2 cards with Images from Sassy Studio Designs
"Steam Punk"
They are both the same images, but one is a full length and the other in a frame... Love them both! I actual colored these images a few months a go, (if not longer:0)... They where "freebies" from SSD  as a part of their "paper craft planet" SSD day... I miss placed them and did not remember where they where until    I found them after unpacking. hehehe.. so even though they where colored I had Not created any thing with them.. One was a full sheet of other frames and the other was a full sheet of other steam punks  soo I took a picture of both of them together, before I started yesterday.
Here is my first card.. Love the frame with the wheels and gears.  She is a digital image so I just printed her out on my printer.I colored her with my Prisma and OMS.. I went for the same them and color scheme for both cards. I only pulled out scraps, of card stock, and DP... I even found two pre folded cards so I did Not have to cut any new card stock ( love that too!!!)... I used two  sketch from "deconstructed skech book" ( Than you Jen Shultz for some amazing sketches) and also when along with a few themes for some challenges.
Here is the inside of my card.. Stamped images are from Unity Stamp Co. I thought that the Clock's when perfect with the steam punk theme.. Sentiment is also from Unity Stamp.. Love that I could use these stamps in soo many different ways. (If you scrolled down to my SOC blog hop post you will see I am giving a way a stamp set from Unity Stamp Co.)

And Here is my other card.. She is a full lenght version of the steampunk image.. She is just gorgeous and Sassy don't you think?... for this one I love the sketch and still tired to go very simple with it.. I only used 2 scraps of DP..I would usually used an extra mat for my image and then pop her up with gule dots, but this time I just left her flat and used adhesive tape to tape her down. I used the same "Clock stamp set from "Unity Stamp Co. and I stamped the over everything so that it made it more of a back ground other than standing out. The Sentiment was a perfect fit for that space and just finished her off with a piece of ribbon, a flower some buttons and pearls. I really liked how it turned out.
And again this is the inside of the card,,My little scrap was all I had left of the 'numbered DP.. so I just added it to the inside of this card.. So they really do play off each other,, added the same clock, and then added another sentiment. ( So that they are the same But still very different!!) from the stamp set named "thoughts of the heart" from Unity.
Here they are side by side. I hope you have enjoyed my cards that I made for "World Card Making Day".. It feel soo good to be able to do what I love, in my own space and just Create.. I hope to get one more card done before the night is over. So I will see  you all later.

Happy Crafting,
